Ketjenblack EC-300J
Product Description

Ketjenblack EC-300J Electroconductive carbon black

Ketjenblack EC-300J is a pure electroconductive carbon black extremely suitable for antistatic and electroconductive applications。Ketjenblack EC-300J can also be used to produce conductive coatings and primers.  In addition, at very low load levels, optimal electrical conductivity can be obtained, minimizing mechanical and rheological losses.  Some other applications include batteries, IC component packaging, tubing, flooring, carpet underlay, automotive parts, mobile phones, etc.For even more demanding applications Ketjenblack EC-600JD is available of which about half the amount is needed to obtain the same conductivity as with Ketjenblack EC-300J.

Electroconductive carbon black Applications

Ketjenblack EC-300J is a very pure carbon black that is particularly suitable for antistatic and conductive applications. Due to its unique morphology and high approximate surface area. 800 m2/g (BET), the same conductivity can be achieved with just one-third the amount of Ketjenblack EC-300J compared to conventional conductive black. The Ketjenblack EC-300J's low load makes it easier to process polymers that are sensitive to filler addition, thereby minimizing the loss of mechanical and rheological energy. The Ketjenblack EC-300J significantly increases the electrical conductivity of the resulting compound when fully dispersed with the polymer.

                                       Ketjenblack EC-300J
It can also be used for all types of polymers, thermosetting, thermoplastic, and elastomers. Due to its unique form and structure, a relatively small amount of Ketjenblack EC-300J can be made into an excellent conductive material. Due to its low coarse particle content, a very smooth surface can be obtained during extrusion. The load required to achieve a certain amount of conductivity varies greatly between different types of polymers. More detailed information is provided in our special Ketjenblack EC Technical Bulletin. Ketjenblack EC-300J has a very low ash content, making it a preferred material for semiconductor applications in cable shielding.

Catalyst initiators and thixotropic agents are both essential components in many industrial processes. Catalyst initiators, such as peroxides or azo compounds, are used to initiate chemical reactions, while thixotropic agents, such as bentonite or fumed silica, are used to control the viscosity and flow properties of liquids and pastes. When used together, these two components can help to optimize the performance of a wide range of products, from adhesives and coatings to composites and plastics. By carefully selecting the right combination of catalyst initiators and thixotropic agents, manufacturers can achieve the desired properties and performance characteristics for their products, while also improving process efficiency and reducing costs.
