How to determine the curing condition of epoxy curing agent?

In actual operation, the curing time can be determined by observing changes in the coating surface, touching, pressure testing, and other methods:

1. Observe the changes on the surface of the coating

After initial application, the Epoxy Curing Agent will appear in a relatively thin state, and over time, it will gradually form a smooth and sturdy surface. Therefore, the approximate curing time can be determined by observing surface changes.

You can look for visual indicators such as surface residue, discoloration of Epoxy Resin, or a sticky feeling indicating that the product has not yet completely dried. Test the area without leaving any traffic marks before pressing with your nails. If you leave a dent on the floor material when scraping it with your nails, it indicates that there is still water inside, which means it takes more time to walk there.

2. Touch test

After curing with Epoxy Curing Agent, the surface will become hard and smooth, not as sticky as when not fully dried. You can gently press the surface of the coating with your fingers. If you can feel elasticity, it indicates that the coating has not completely dried out and you need to continue waiting.

So touch it! Once everything is set up correctly, you should be able to travel all over the place without any problems, so test different areas as needed throughout the entire process, just make sure not to apply too much pressure during these tests, because even if they say there is nothing like 'hands about experience', sometimes it is not always correct when learning new things (such as when trying to bake a cake).

3. Stress testing

Mild pressure testing can be performed on objects such as cotton cloth or cork blocks 24 hours before curing. If slight pressure is applied to the surface layer without producing marks or cracks, it indicates that the epoxy Curing agent has cured to a certain extent.

By examining the surface treatment, testing whether it is hard or soft, and touching it to see if it is soft or hard, you will know if your epoxy Resin has fully cured.
