Ten major applications of vinyl ester resin

Vinyl Resin is a type of modified Epoxy Resin obtained by reacting bisphenol or phenolic Epoxy Resin with methacrylic acid. It is commonly referred to as Vinyl Ester Resin (VE), also known as epoxy acrylic resin, and is a thermosetting resin. Vinyl ester resin has the excellent properties of epoxy resin, with better curing and formability. It can dissolve in styrene and acrylic monomers. Due to their advantages of both epoxy and unsaturated, their application fields are constantly expanding.

Ten major application areas of vinyl resin:

1. Fiberglass pipes, tanks: Various types of tanks, pipes, containers, and other integral fiberglass products with anti-corrosion requirements.

2. Flue gas desulfurization: All coal-fired power plants have fiberglass chimneys for flue gas desulfurization, which is a typical application field of vinyl resin.

3. Steel industry: Vinyl resin has been successfully applied in the pickling section area of stainless steel cold rolling and hot rolling production lines, waste acid tanks and areas, FRP grids, cover plates, dilute acid tanks, waste water tanks, etc.

4. Chemical industry: applied to equipment linings, acid resistant bricks, and ground granite joints in titanium dioxide factories, fertilizer factories, phosphate ore factories, and other industries.

5. Petrochemical, papermaking, printing and dyeing industries: Vinyl resin is used for tank lining fiberglass, waste water tank lining, pipeline coating anti-corrosion, wall and steel structure anti-corrosion, etc.

6. Overall mortar flooring: One type is an overall anti-corrosion flooring that is resistant to acid, alkali, and salt; One type is anti-static, dustproof, food grade and other clean flooring.

7. Chemical fiber and textile industries: Vinyl resin should be used for equipment lining, wastewater tanks, pipeline coating anti-corrosion, etc.

8. Solvent resistance and flame retardant: Vinyl resin is suitable for solvent resistance requirements in most situations, and is suitable for flame retardant requirements below B1 level in buildings.

9. Wind power generation blades: Vinyl resin, due to its good toughness and fatigue resistance, can replace epoxy resin and be used to make fiberglass blades for wind power generation.

10. Electrolytic cells (cells) and electroplating: In non-ferrous metal smelting plants, the most commonly used electrolytic copper and nickel cells and cells are often made of vinyl resin to make resin concrete integrated electrolytic cells, or as the preferred choice for fiberglass lined resin, and applied in workshop floors, FRP grids, cover plates, and other places. Vinyl resin is often used for the lining and floor of electroplating tanks in electroplating workshops.
